Jeep M38 / Willys M38 information

The first M-series (military) Jeep was the Willys-Overland M-38 (Model MC).
Know it by: Bulging headlights.
The M38 entered production in September 1950 with the last unit out the door in July 1952 for a total of 62,335. Ford of Canada assembled another 2300 M38 CDN's for the Canadian Armed Forces in 1952.

Modified version of the "Go-Devil" L-Head 4-cylinder in-line watercooled side-valve (L-head) gasoline engine, developing 60 bhp (54net) at 4000 rpm and a max. torque of 105 lb-ft (95 net) at 2000rpm Cubic capacity 134.2 in. (2199 cc).
